A Birthday Cake for Grandma

WALT ask questions before, during and after reading to focus my understanding. In our reading class groups we are doing kind of the same but different stories, and my group were reading a birthday cake for grandma and we are focusing to ask questions. We are doing this because you need to ask questions to get information, so we made a google drawing and make our own cake and we had to tell why we designed it this way and who is it for.
Here is my Cake:

Would you like to make a cake using google drawing?

I liked the way you said what colours you did and I think it was cool and also when I read your title it said cake for grandma but in the post you said it was for your mum therefore the cake gives me a feeling of joy i wish i could have that cake.

  3. Kia ora, I'm Amelia from Yaldhurst Model School.

My favorite part is when you said that the cake is for your mum, that's really kind 😄. I also really liked your cake, it's really pretty and cool. I like how you have your favorite cake there, although I'm not that keen on too much icing.

When I read your post I learnt what you are doing in your class. A Birthday Cake For Grandma is a nice book title, well it sounds like a book title anyways, so hopefully it is.

Look back and try to include some info about the story, not giving too much away though, because sometimes I give too much away about books. It doesn't really matter that much, unless you don't like spoilers.

Well since you said 'ask questions before, during, and after,' I'm gonna ask three.

Why does your cake have red two red lines toward the bottom?
How did you make your cake symmetrical?
Why would you give your cake to your mum and not your grandma?

Goodbye Denise, hope to see another one of your amazing posts!

  5. Hi Denise, It is Sam from Yaldhurst Model School,

I think that this is a great post! I especially like
how you described how you like your cake, and then went
ahead and made your own version using Poly line
and shapes. Though next time, try to re read your blog once you have
written it, this is so that you can fix mistakes and make your blog
post even better! Apart from that, this is a great blog post Denise. Happy blogging!

What website did you make this blog post on?

    Sam
